[EVENT] Repairing Broken Glass: Confronting the Holocaust and Genocide

Join Georgia Coalition to Prevent Genocide and 2009 Fellow and CWF Advisory Board Member Melanie Nelkin for a thought provoking and reflective event to commemorate 76 years since Kristallnacht, ‘The Night of Broken Glass’ at The Breman Museum on November 9th, 1:00-3:00pm: Repairing Broken Glass: Confronting the Holocaust and Genocide.

They video taped 5 genocide survivors who were interviewed with a focus on the 4 R’s: Resistance, Resourcefulness, Resilience and Rescue. Check out the promo video starring 2010 Fellow Claude Gatebuke.

A panel discussion will follow the presentation of a glass art piece commissioned by ACCESS Atlanta, the young professional board of American Jewish Committee. They will be 5 50″ TV’s set up in a large room that will loop each of the 5 survivor’s interviews through so that the audience is moving through a video exhibit. A panel discussion ends the event, moderated by someone from the Center for Civil and Human Rights.
